yum Error: no such table:packages

Hi,

I faced an issue with yum: when I run yum update I get the following error:

yum update
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Error: no such table: packages

Maybe somebody knows how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance!

BTW: I have a suspicion about how this might occur. My Fedora 12 hangs unexpectedly from time to time so once I was running "yum update" system hung and I had to do a hard reset. So after that I seem got the issue with yum.

Probably RPM database corruption.
