Job Description
The selected candidate shall provide various services including software distribution services, project management, technical writing, process engineering and reporting services. Maintenance and support must be performed after normal business hours as required. *hj
Job Requirements
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for the Citrix and virtual desktop application environment, providing design, implementation. Must have recent Citrix experience.
• Should have at least 6 – 7 years of technical hands on experience.
• Makes recommendations regarding the Citrix architecture and the value that new Citrix-related products would bring to clients.
• Ensure that platform patch management and antivirus services are kept current.
• Build application packages for deployment to the virtual desktop environment and ensure that said applications conform where necessary to the CDC standard desktop configuration.
• Create and manage Visual Basic & Powershell scripts to create the infrastructure required by the virtual desktop environment.
• Backup and restore databases related to the virtual desktop environment.
• Collaborate with the Software Distribution Team to test and evaluate patches to determine impact on the virtual desktop infrastructure and/or to remediate the problem.
• Create, manage and deploy Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and associated custom GPO templates
• Provide staff with the tools used to support the virtual desktop environment.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and ability to support UNIX devices associated with the Citrix infrastructure.
• Should be able to provide staff with standard processes for the installation and updating of required client software.
• Maintains a multi-tiered Citrix infrastructure for a robust, High-Availability, geographically distributed web based, client based interface and thin-client network involving multiple datacenters and widely dispersed end-users.
• Installs, tests, evaluate and integrates various applications and 3rd party products into the Citrix architecture.
• Changes to the architecture will be staged into a lab environment and signed off by the Team Lead prior to implementation into production.
• Follow and enforce CDC IT security policies and processes including change management processes, C&A, CRA, and also applying industry standards, available technologies, and security best practices.
• Must have a thorough understanding and experience with Citrix NetScaler.
• Must be able to understand and resolve network system issues.
• Experience with Linux is desired.
