Linux kernel CPUfreq subsystem
Clock scaling allows you to change the clock speed of the CPUs on the fly. This is a nice method to save battery power, because the lower the clock speed is, the less power the CPU consumes.
Maintainer, Mailing List
The Linux kernel CPUfreq subsystem is maintained by Dave Jones. There is a mailing list for CPUfreq-related discussions and patches at "cpufreq at vger dot kernel dot org" (obfuscated to avoid spam), for more information, subscription and (non-public) archives see this page.
